Domcor Traffic Control International Inc. is looking for an experienced and proactive Area Manager. As the Area Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee day-to-day operations across various sites in Northern BC. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in growing the business by maintaining relationships, pursuing new opportunities, and conducting sales activities.

Responsibilities:

Foster a safety-first workplace culture consistent with Domcor's core purpose and values.

Manage day-to-day operations across multiple sites in Northern BC ensuring efficient traffic control services.

Collaborate with the Traffic Control Supervisor to meet operational requirements and maintain high-quality service delivery.

Drive business growth by maintaining and strengthening existing relationships, as well as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Conduct sales activities, including following up on new leads, monitoring bid platforms, and networking to develop ongoing relationships.

Work closely with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure regular site inspections and audits are conducted, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

Mentor and support staff, promoting a positive "CAN-DO" attitude and providing performance feedback.

Provide business insights and reports to senior management, informing decision-making, strategy, and planning.

Collaborate with Recruiters on operational staffing needs, including communicating shortages, facilitating onboarding, and coordinating training.

Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of operations management experience in the field of Traffic Control, including managing Traffic Control Person (TCP), Traffic Control Supervisors (TCS), and Lane Closure Technician (LCT).

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business or an equivalent combination of education and experience is considered an asset.

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Thorough understanding of relevant legislation and regulations, such as WCB, Employment Standards, WorkSafe, and Traffic Control Manual for Work on Roadways.

Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with diverse groups of people.

A Valid Class 5 Driver's License is a Must.

Ability to travel to various locations as required.
