Qualifications: Must be a full-time fee-paying student at Sheridan with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Must be enrolled for the full academic year. Must be a student at the campus at which the position is held.

Term: May 2024 - April 2025

Pay: $16.55

Hours: up to 10 hours/week

General Responsibilities

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who will be eager to inform and welcome students into our station. As our Recruitment Ambassador, you will be the first face that students meet when they are interested in becoming a part of our team. We will give you the tools you need to recruit and welcome students to help make their Audible dreams come true. Having a basic knowledge of Audio content creation is a huge plus! We want students from all of our campuses to know they have access to the station, and you will play a big role in that!

Job Roles:

  • Meeting with prospective volunteers
  • Walking students through the first phase of our onboarding process
  • Hosting booths at multiple campuses to educate and inform students of SLR and how they can get involved.
  • Having a welcoming and outgoing vibe when it comes to onboarding students

Job Requirements:

  • To have experience in promo teamwork or recruitment
  • Travelling to HMC & DAVIS campus occasionally
  • Experience with Social media (TikTok, Instagram)
  • To provide honest feedback & suggestions towards recruitment strategies
  • Working with a small executive team
  • Working closely with our social media coordinator
  • Ability to work alone and stay goal-oriented
  • A good presence with people
  • Good at taking positive feedback
  • Working closely with Sheridan Students welcoming them to our team

Please come prepared to the interview with:

  • Knowledge of SLR
  • An understanding of our content & Music
  • A recruitment strategy for HMC & Davis campus as there isn't a station there.
  • 3 fresh and new ideas for social media to peak student interest.
