Dufresne Furniture and Appliances is currently seeking a Warehouse Transportation Handler for our Kenora store located at 1077 Railway St.

As a Warehouse Transportation Handler, you will be responsible for efficient and accurate compliance with teams and provide support for visual presentation, warehousing, customer service, pick-ups, and movement of goods and merchandise. In this role, the individual will work as part of a team to provide exceptional delivery service to our guests.

As the Warehouse Transportation Handler, you will:

Assist with the loading and unloading of products to our guests home.
Conduct "pre and post" trip audits as required to meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Complete all required Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and comply and present all HOS logs electronically when checked at a scale or stopped by the authorities.
Safely and efficiently drive the scheduled route while keeping scheduling and providing exceptional customer service.
Deliver product to the guest's home following Company's policies and procedures and assemble product when required.
Conduct all activities safely and courteously with every effort to minimize damage to the product and the guest's homes.
Understand and follow all safe work practices and rules.
Notify and reconcile any discrepancies and the completion of each delivery with the DCD (Delivery Completion Data) personnel.
Ensure accurate completion of delivery work by using delivery tablets and taking required photos.
Abide by all Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulations concerning commercial truck drivers.
Ability to communicate any issues (mechanical or otherwise) regarding the delivery truck.
Assembles product in guests home when required.
Ability to communicate any issues (mechanical or otherwise) regarding the delivery truck.
Receive product, product returns, accessories, supplies, and prepares outbound shipments.
Prepare product for delivery or floor placement.
Maintain and provide accurate inventory documentation for warehouse and sales floor.
General store internal maintenance (i.e., light bulbs, putty of walls, general handy-person duties, garbage).
Keep warehouse area and sales floor organized and clean.
Maintenance and housekeeping of exterior (i.e., grass cutting, shoveling, cleanliness).

As a successful candidate you will have the following:

High school diploma, GED or equivalent skills and experience.
Valid Class G Driver's license with clean Driver's abstract (with air considered a plus).
6 months to 1 year of Delivery Driver experience.
Experience with hand tools is an asset.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Physically fit, able to lift and move objects up to 50 kgs.
Ability to provide a high level of customer service.
Able to work during retail hours (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
Able to work in extreme temperatures.
Safety footwear required.
