POSITION OVERVIEW: Company Name: Pacific Rim Shellfish Corp. Title of Position: Vice President of Asia-Pacific Region (NOC 00014) Job Location: 1807 Mast Tower Rd, Vancouver, BC V6H 3X7 Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Position Available: 1 Salary: From $ 70,135 per year Working Hours: 32.50 hours per week KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Vice President of the Asian Pacific Region, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic expansion of our business into new markets. In addition to overseeing marketing, logistics, and trading activities, you will be responsible for a range of key duties that are integral to the success of our company. The key responsibilities will include but not limited to the following: & Define clear objectives for the companys operations in the Asia-Pacific region and develop policies and programs to achieve them. & Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to the Asia-Pacific market to promote the sales of our signature dish, the lobster roll, and other Canadian seafood products. & Monitor and evaluate sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities to adjust strategies and tactics accordingly. & Allocate resources effectively, including materials, manpower, and finances to support organizational goals. & Implement robust financial and administrative controls to ensure compliance and efficiency. & Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote brand visibility and networking opportunities. & Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, distributors, and government agencies, to facilitate trading activities and ensure business success. & Oversee logistics operations to ensure efficient transportation, storage, and distribution of products across the Asia-Pacific region. & Lead the establishment of major departments and appoint senior staff members to drive operational excellence. & Play a key role in personnel planning, including the selection and development of middle managers, directors, and other executive staff. KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS: & Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, logistics or an equivalent of work experience. & Proven track record of leadership and success in the trading industry, with a deep understanding of Asia-Pacific market. & Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment. & Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels. & Proficiency in English. Ability to understand any major Asian languages, such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, and Thai is considered an asset. & Ability to travel frequently within the Asia-Pacific region as needed.
