Position Responsibilities:
Risk Reporting
Collect operational risk data and KRIs from branches and departments, draft and issue ORM and KRI reporting to ORMC.
Follow up operational risk events, and participate in investigation of loss, external fraud, etc.
Review and draft modifications of operational risk indicators and limits for ORMC.
Periodically review 3rd-party due diligence, risk assessments, and draft 3rd-party management reports.
Review policies and procedures relevant to operational risk management, new product risk management, climate risk management, 3rd party management and business contingent plan.
Assist the department head with ORMC activities, including drafting meeting agendas and minutes, and collecting ORMC documents from other departments.
Risk Analytics
Understand the Bank's RAF and risk culture; provide guidance and training to 1st-line departments to establish operational risk management policies and procedures.
Support departments in 2nd-line oversight functions to ensure adherence to effective controls and compliance with OSFI's requirements.
Use key tools such as RCSA, SA analysis, MIRA, event escalation, and assessment for 3rd-party risk.
Qualifications:
University education background in Business Management, Risk Management, Finance, or Statistics is preferred;
Minimum 5 years of operational risk management in financial industry.
Good understanding of ERM and COSO.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong technical skills and comprehensive analytical abilities.
Be alert to risk factors embedded in the business.
A diligent, self-starter that works and organizes well under pressure.
