Summer Position - Community and Social Services Worker

Start Date: Approximately May 1st for up to 8 weeks with possibility of extension.

The role:

This role is intended to give an opportunity for hands on experience and skill building within the developmental services field. The position will provide experience with a wide variety of tasks across our agency. This role will give a well-rounded experience and a grasp on what the developmental services field has to offer.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Directly supporting individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities in their day to day, along with the administration responsibilities that follow
Support various teams in community events
Support with summer retreats (includes swimming, low ropes, archery) lots of fun to be had!
Create various promotional materials
Create content for social media platforms
Plan and attend pop up summer events
Assist with record maintenance across various programs
Assist with job coaching at various community locations
Assist individuals in gaining job readiness and employment
Other duties as assigned

In order to meet Canada Summer Jobs Funding Program eligibility, which supports this role, applicants must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment, and legally entitled to work in Canada.
