Shared Health (1502-155 Carlton Street, Winnipeg MB, R3C 5R9), Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) and The University of Manitoba, Department of Internal Medicine (business addresses noted below), are inviting applications for a physician to fill our labour shortage in Manitoba. Main job duties include diagnose and treatment of diseases, prescribing medications and treatment, ordering lab tests and x-rays and other diagnostic procedures, consulting with other physicians as required.

The successful candidate would also be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor and appointed as a geographical full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. Job duties are required in English.

The Section has access to substantial resources within the health system, primarily at two academic health centers and one community-based hospital. There are presently 8 full-time academic Rheumatology physicians within the Section with major clinical and investigative responsibilities in Rheumatology, and additional part time members.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate and must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in Rheumatology. The successful candidate must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. The candidate will have experience in the care of complex rheumatology patients including systemic autoimmune disease, vasculitis, and inflammatory arthritis, and experience in rheumatology research (translational or basic research preferred). This is a geographical, full-time, contingent position commencing July 1, 2024, or as soon thereafter as possible, renewable upon favorable review.

Compensation:

Salary and rank will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
