The Facilities Maintenance role provides assistance for all maintenance-related requests associated with the Glacier Discovery Centre, Glacier View Lodge, Glacier Skywalk and Icefield staff accommodation
Compensation:The starting salary for this position is $20.00 per hour.

What will you do in this job?- Performing daily maintenance checks
- Completing repairs within scope of experience/skill
- Following up on maintenance requests
- Participating in seasonal annual opening and closing procedures
- Booking and coordinating contractors
- Other duties as assigned
- Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environment
- Mature, energetic, dependable and self-motivated
- Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision
- Previous plumbing, electrical, building and carpentry experience preferred
- Class 5 driver's license (unrestricted), required
- Standard First Aid Certification, required (or willing to obtain prior to beginning work)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and capable of manual duties, required
- Proven ability to complete minor building repairs to proper building standards/codes
- Organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
- Dependable, self-motivated and fully capable of working autonomously
- Employee and public relations skills and a friendly/cooperative nature
- Must enjoy working outdoors, even in challenging mountain weather conditions
- Internally motivated with a consistently high level of energy
- Ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks needing attention
- High attention to detail
- Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment
- Be prepared for all weather conditions (Snow, Rain, Wind, Hail)
- Must meet the Organization grooming and appearance standards
