Hiring Red Seal Millwrights for a Maintenance Position 4 x 10's $39-$44/hr Job Description:

Following a weekly schedule and work orders

Performing preventative maintenance and scheduled maintenance to reduce downtime

Breakdown maintenance as required on a variety equipment

Installation of new equipment - new automation equipment coming within the next year

Dismantling, repairing of equipment, rebuilding of parts

Operate equipment used in the repair, installation or fabrication of equipment including but not limited to lathes, welders and hand tools

Comply with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and SQF (Safe Quality Food Program) requirements

Very hands on - lifting, bending, reaching

Types of equipment/machinery:

  • Packaging machines
  • Meat stuffers
  • Pneumatic Systems
  • Minor hydraulics
  • Conveyers
  • Lifts, hoists
  • Mixing machines
Qualifications:

Red Seal Millwright

Preventative Maintenance experience

Trouble shooting experience

Good computer skills

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Nice to Have Experience:

Food manufacturing experience

Additional tickets or experience (3rd or 4th class power engineer, electrician, plumbing, welding) - paid extra per ticket

Vacuum pack machine experience

Leadership experience

Experience with a maintenance management software

Work Environment:

Refrigerated environment, approximately 2-4 degrees throughout the entire plant except the office

Small freezer but unlikely that maintenance will be in there very often

There are 13 packaging machines with 6 people per machine so it can get a bit crowded and busy

Using radios to communicate

Working in facility that processes raw meat - must be aware of this and okay with it

Production line runs 630am-1130pm

120,000 sq ft facility

Working around cooked and raw meat products

Shifts:

Day Shift: Tuesday - Friday 5:30am - 4pm (4x10s)

Afternoon Shift: Monday - Thursday 2pm - 12:30am (4x10s)

Pay Rate:

Day Shift Base - $39/hr

Afternoon Shift Base - $40.75/hr for each additional ticket +$1.75/hr for each additional ticket (3rd or 4th class power engineer, electrician, plumbing, welding)

+$1.75/hr Quarterly retention bonus for every hour worked paid out every 3 months
