About the Client

Our client is sourcing an Operations Accountant for a 3-Month Contract.

About the Opportunity

Perform operations accounting duties as required, including AFE's, cost centers, OPEX, revenue, capital, and decommissioning expenditures

Assist with preparation of management reports of monthly results, including review and analysis of information for completeness and accuracy

Maintain the monthly account reconciliation file, including reconciliations and analysis of GL accounts accuracy and completeness

Calculate and prepare adjusting journal entries as needed

Record monthly recurring journal entries prepaids, deposits, amortizations, lease payments, insurance, depreciation, and others, as required

Assist with general accounting, including bank reconciliation, GST, and various tax submissions

About You

3+ years of full cycle monthly accounting experience in the oil and gas industry

Exposure to operations, capital, joint venture & corporate accounting would be an asset

Understanding of the monthly accounting cycle

Experience with Pandell JV/AP would be an asset

Proficient in MS Office – particularly Excel

CPA designation would be an asset but not required
