About the Opportunity

Accounts Payable

• Stamping trade invoices received, checking calculation & WSIB status, circulating invoices for final approval
• Sending out signed cheque payments & filing paid invoices
• Photocopying paid invoices for MI chargeback, filing these copies by property & updating TMI chargeback lists
• Opening (and closing) Landlord's utility account when tenant moves out (and move in)
• Checking online utility accounts twice a month for any missed bill

Accounts Receivable

• Prepare AR report (after analyzing overdue amounts shown in Yardi)
• Handling tenants' enquiries with owners
• Prepare deposit slips for commercial tenants
• Prepare monthly rent roll
• Prepare chargeback invoice to tenant during the year
• Taking hydro/water meter readings at the beginning of each year for TMI chargeback purposes
• Preparing and sending annual Rent Advisory Notice to tenants

Clerical

• Copy and filing invoices for TMI chargeback; keeping the chargeback files
• Filing correspondence into commercial tenant's file
• Boxing old TMI reconciliation files by property
• Boxing cheque stubs by year
• Boxing bank reconciliation statements & deposit slips
• Making new files for various companies at the beginning of different financial year

About You

• 3+ years' experience in AP & AR experience within Property Management OR construction
• Strong understanding of accounting
• Office Based Advanced Excel (pivot table and v-lookups)

Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000/year
