Your mission should you accept it: Under the supervision of the Director of Legal Affairs, you will have the opportunity to support and advise management and internal teams on various matters of a commercial and contractual nature as well as in matters of compliance and dispute prevention. The position is full-time and is carried out in flexible hybrid mode depending on the city of residence (teleworking and office). Occasional travel to Canada and the United States. Do you have what it takes? Positive energy and... Bachelor of Laws and member of a bar association in a Canadian province, being a member of a bar association in the United States is also an asset. 7 years or more of experience in construction and/or business law within a recognized company or law firm, particularly in terms of drafting and negotiating contracts. Excellent command of English, both written and oral, as well as good communication and popularization skills. Adaptability and ability to work under pressure in an environment where meeting deadlines, quality of work and customer satisfaction are paramount. Knowledge of and/or interest in the renewable energy, engineering and/or construction industry.

What you will do to complete this mission successfully: Review, draft, negotiate and interpret various contracts, commercial documents and various notices related to construction projects (call for proposals, construction, procurement, engineering, financing, confidentiality, mortgage, notice of default or change, claims, etc.) Develop and update contract models as well as various tools (including policies and procedures) to facilitate the management and understanding of contracts by internal teams. Advise management and internal teams on a daily basis on legal requirements and risks as well as the conduct of business and operations in order to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (in particular, regarding construction, real estate, trade, employment, immigration, environment and competition) as well as internal policies and procedures. Provide legal advice on dispute resolution and claims management using a proactive and practical approach focused on solutions and prevention. Manage litigation, from time to time, in collaboration with external lawyers. Manage structuring projects for the organization, particularly in terms of ethics and compliance. Provide training, from time to time, to internal teams. Perform any other task related to the position of senior legal advisor.
