Job description: We are recruiting for a Technical Sales Representative in Delta, British Columbia. Our long established client is an established company manufacturing and distribution of Vacuum pumps for a variety of industry. These industries include nano-technology, green energy, life saving medicine and semiconductors. Vacuum is the driver of these industries and our client is a leading OEM and Manufacturer of Vacuum Pumps globally. You will be a Sales Representative with an Engineering background ready to represent our client Vacuum line in the province of BC. Starting out in Delta, BC , your territory will be all of British Columbia. Majority of customers lie within the Vancouver, Burnaby and surrounding area with 1 or 2 trips per year to Northern British Columbia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • You will represent our client Vacuum pump line with both new and potential clients.
  • Prospect potential customers and maintain strong relationships with existing customers in BC territory, obtaining sales orders for company products/services.
  • Pre and post sales support
  • Establish a network in Canada by prospeting, sales calls and follow ups.
  • Primary Territory: BC potential support to AB, SK and MB.
  • Recommend Engineered solutions to potential and existing customers based on application analysis and product base.
  • Answer technical questions by clients and build up customer loyalty by promoting after sales service including leak detection, and assure future parts/services will be ordered by the Corporation.

Qualifications:
  • Engineering or Basic Science degree - Secondary degree in Marketing / Economics an added value)
  • 4 years of experience in technical sales ideally in a mechanical environment
  • Drivers License G
  • Availability to travel 35% - Extended travel in the territory including overnight stays (initially 35% - 45%)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly Motivated and Energetic with very good communication and presentation skills.
  • Team orientated and results orientated.
