What will be your daily pursuit?: The Buildings & Grounds Cleaner supports an exceptional guest experience by providing a safe, clean and professional-looking facility for guests visiting the Banff Gondola. This fun, seasonal job is posted as part of our hiring for spring/summer 2024.

Compensation: The starting salary for this position is $17.00.

What will you do in this job?:

• Ensuring that all Gondola grounds and facilities are kept tidy and clean to provide guests with a high-quality experience.
• Performing established daily cleaning tasks for all guest and team member areas. Such as washrooms, eating areas, offices, and common areas.
• Ensure task lists are maintained and up to date.
• Vacuuming of floors, sweeping, and mopping.
• Empty garbage bins and maintaining the recycling program on an ongoing basis.
• Following all safety rules and procedures.
• Notify Manager or Supervisor on duty of any safety hazards or concerns.
• Monitoring cleaning supply inventory.
• Replenish/restock cleaning supplies when required.
• Sweeping or shovel exterior decks, walkways, and parking lot as required.
• Watering of plants as required.
• Assisting with evacuation procedures in the event of an emergency.
• Answer guest questions regarding the Banff Gondola and surroundings area.
• Other duties as assigned.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:

• Bring a positive attitude with strong customer service skills.
• Detail orientated.
• Self-motivated with the ability to perform tasks with minimum supervision.
• Possess the physical ability to perform all cleaning tasks in an assigned time
• Proven ability to work within strict policy/procedures and guidelines
• WHMIS knowledge and cleaning experience an asset
• A clean Driver's License required; Alberta Class 4 License an asset
