About the Opportunity

Payroll Full life cycle administration of salary and hourly payrolls for US and CND companies on a semi-monthly basis including hires, terminations, salary changes etc. Learn the ropes of how we operate from some of the best while building the plan to operate an independent payroll function; ensuring payroll runs are accurate and timely including auditing payroll reports Be first point of contact to respond to employee payroll inquiries Work with the payroll provider (ADP) to resolve any payroll issues Recommend best practices for payroll. Create, update, and maintain payroll procedure documents

State /Provincial / Local Tax Setup and ongoing maintenance of state and provincial tax accounts (Withholding & Unemployment) Using ADP online registration system to apply for tax accounts as appropriate Action any follow-up's/respond to any questions by ADP during the registration process Once setup complete, ensure any needed past filings are completed by ADP (sent request and follow-up as needed) Research and actioning of notices as received by state/provincial departments Setup and regular filing of Workers Compensation accounts Including filing yearly reconciliation Setup and regular filings of misc. state accounts AS NEEDED - Update the legal address for businesses that have closed/moved with each applicable state/provincial department (SIT, SUI, WC etc.)

About You 5+ years of payroll experience – must have Canadian and US payroll processing experience Exposure to benefits administration Must have exposure to ADP Experience leading a team and willingness to be in a player/coach role PCP or CPM designation Advanced MS office skills (Excel mainly – creating large spreadsheets, "if" statements, etc) Experience with Workday Setups of payrolls in new countries/global payrolls Has gone through acquisitions/mergers

Salary Range $110,000 - $120,000/year
