About the Opportunity
Finance: Oversee the finance function, guiding and mentoring our in-house Accountant on technical issues with support from our external accountants as needed. Responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting, including daily cash flow statements, weekly metrics, monthly and quarterly reports. Manage Accounts Receivable and serve as a senior escalation point for challenging collections. Own the billing software stack (Chargebee, BlueSnap, GoCardless) and manage our financial institution's portal activities. Ensure tax compliance with support from external accountants and manage sales tax filings across various jurisdictions using Avalara tax compliance software. Providing reporting on Net Revenue Retention to Customer Success. Verify and approve variable compensation plans. Handle all other finance-related activities as they arise.
Internal IT & Systems: Oversee all internal IT & Systems (Salesforce, Pardot, Chargebee, QuickBooks) project managing external IT consultant(s) where necessary. Build reports and manage integrations within Salesforce, addressing internal IT system issues with support from external IT consultants as needed. Maintain and organize a shared drive in SharePoint. Negotiate contracts with external software vendors. Address all other IT and Systems-related issues as they arise.
Legal & Compliance: Serve as the senior executive responsible for legal compliance, interfacing with outside counsel on all legal matters. Oversee all contracts with vendors and customers. Maintain our privacy policy, advisor terms and conditions, and insurance policy. Design and maintain our affiliate referral programs using Kiflo.
About You
- CPA designation
- SAAS/Software industry sector experience
- Willingness and interest in having a role that is broader than just accounting/finance
- Some experience working with different software applications, some IT projects experience is a big asset
- Salesforce, QuickBooks, and Chargebee experience an asset
Salary: $165,000 to $175,000/year
