About the Opportunity
Understand the company's environment help the business identify, assess and monitor operational risk
Lead the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) discussions and provide a sound second line of defense
Propose appropriate Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), set risk thresholds limits and conduct KRI benchmarking
Lead internal loss event discussions, advise on risk exposure and remedial actions
Identify plausible Operational Risk scenarios and conduct Operational Risk Scenario Analysis
Perform comparative analysis and review the risk assessments and outputs of each of the operational risk management tools
Assist in rolling out ORM Program components to new entities and provide training sessions
Act as a trusted advisor to the business unit for operational risk management needs.
Provide ongoing support to the Third-Party Risk Management process
Develop or enhance key components of the Operational Risk Management Framework and Internal Control Framework to maintain program consistency with the regulatory expectations
Manage the Corporate Insurance process for all stores including project management oversight of application forms, annual renewal process, purchase of new insurance/endorsements as needed
Working with the corporate insurance broker to ensure adequate coverage is maintained within risk appetite
Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on corporate insurance matters, including policy interpretation, coverage analysis, claims management, review of insurance terms in contracts
About You
Bachelors or equivalent degree in Business Admin/Commerce/Finance/Economics/Mathematics/IT/Data Analytics/Computer Science
CPA, CRM, ARM, CRMP, CIP or any other risk designation is a requirement
Experience in facilitating projects/programs that involved cross-functional stakeholders
Engage, build, and maintain collaborative and productive relationships
Effectively convey risk-related information clearly and persuasively to various levels of the organization; Adept at analyzing data and information to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks.
Evaluate risks objectively and propose risk mitigation plans based on data-driven insights.
Ability to approach a problem by using a logical approach.
Put customers first and demonstrate willingness and concern for the needs of customers
Understand the business strategies and objectives to enable informed risk assessments.
Experience in leading projects/programs that involved cross-functional stakeholders
Prior knowledge/experience of OSFI's Guidelines for Operational Risk Management
Salary $80000/year
