POSITION SUMMARY:Performs repetitive mechanical assembly involving sensitive or precise dexterous movements to maintain pace and quality of assembly work.
What's the job: Assembles and/or tests mechanical or electrical components by means of sensitive hand and equipment coordination. May assemble minor variations of in-house standard products. Follows clear assembly/test instructions, e.g. color code, pvc thermal welding and thread taping. Uses simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures. Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S. Reads and understands simple layout and assembly drawings. Maintains equipment and area in clean safe condition. Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations.
What do you bring to the job: High School Diploma or GED. Mechanical aptitude as evidenced by work experience, high school/tech school coursework, hobbies, etc. Have car and valid driver's license. Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to climb and descend stairs. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing. May work indoors and outdoors as needed. May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required. May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt. Work surfaces may include concrete.
