ASSISTANT PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We are currently seeking a passionate and self-motivated Assistant Product Development Manager, to join our dynamic team in Montreal. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the Product Development Process by assisting the Product Development Manager in leading, organizing, and executing the new product development process.
  • Review and compare quote sheets from vendors.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date product database by meticulously cataloging product specifications, pricing information, supplier details, and any other relevant data.
  • Regularly audit the database to ensure completeness and accuracy, and proactively update it with new product releases, revisions, and discontinuations to provide a reliable resource for all stakeholders.
  • Help to manage all departmental projects, samples, award letters, project boards on systems, administrative work, etc.
  • Maintain project timelines and production schedules using project management tools like Mondays.com, ensuring effective communication and coordination across departments.
  • Fully manage projects for existing product (projects updates). This involves initiating and implementing updates to enhance product features, improve performance, or address customer feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2-3 years of experience in product development within the consumer goods industry, preferably with a focus on kitchen appliances or related categories.
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Creative and autonomous mindset, with strong project management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a proven track record multi-tasking in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments and with stakeholders to manage timelines and project deliverables.
  • Open-minded and solution-focused, with the ability to adapt positively to changes in project scope or direction.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with experience in project management software such as PLM, Mondays.com, or Asana preferred.
  • Project management certification is a plus.
