Schedule: Various Shifts Available (Days, Afternoons, Nights, Weekends)
Pay Rate: $18.75 - $22.50 per hour

Our Security Guards work in a variety of environments, including healthcare facilities, educational institutions, office towers, government buildings, shopping centres, and mobile patrol operations. Every day presents new challenges and opportunities to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

ResponsibilitiesGeneral Duties

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, tenants, visitors, and the public
• Write detailed incident, daily activity, and first aid reports
• Monitor and report security breaches, hazards, and emergencies
• Deliver first aid and medical assistance when required
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure site security
• Operate two-way radios and computer systems for communication and documentation
• Perform surveillance and monitor alarm systems
• Manage access control and visitor authorization procedures
• Exercise crowd control and remove unauthorized individuals when necessary

Site-Specific Duties May IncludeColleges & Universities

• Conduct campus patrols
• Monitor CCTV systems
• Manage lost and found services
• Provide first aid and emergency response

Healthcare Facilities

• Respond to alarms and emergency requests
• Utilize de-escalation techniques during high-stress situations
• Support healthcare staff, patients, and visitors

Mobile Patrol Division

• Respond to alarm activations
• Investigate security breaches and property damage
• Provide emergency support and incident management

Office Towers & Government Buildings

• Monitor entrances and exits
• Conduct building patrols
• Respond to alarms and security concerns

Shopping Centres

• Interact with tenants and shoppers
• Provide customer assistance and directions
• Respond to incidents involving disruptive individuals
• Enforce property rules and regulations

Requirements

Must Have

• Valid BC Security Worker License
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong observational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
• Physically capable of walking up to 20 km per shift, including stairs and outdoor environments
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice to Have

• Occupational First Aid Certification
• Previous security experience
• Experience in healthcare, campus, retail, or customer service environments
• CCTV monitoring experience
• Strong report-writing skills
