Reporting to the Director, Central Operations, this position is responsible for building, maintaining and implementing corporate quality assurance and quality control programs across the organization and is accountable for the associated plans, policies, standards and procedures. The QA/QC Manager will proactively pursue new approaches and provide innovation to ensure Arctic Arrow employees, contractors, and customers remain quality leader in the powerline industry as well as liaise with Clients, Owners, and Regulatory organizations on behalf of the company on the subject of Quality Management. Maintain an effective online platform to centralize the QA/QC documents for field-level use and submissions.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Leadership & Oversight
Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Assurance and Quality Control policies, procedures, and programs
Oversee inspection, testing, and verification activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards
Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and clients to resolve quality-related issues and ensure alignment with requirements
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen quality performance across the organization.
Liaise with clients, auditors, and third-party inspectors as required
2. QA/QC Programs
Enhance and implement corporate QA/QC standards, programs, and procedures
Ensure, through a risk-based approach, that QA/QC requirements are consistently applied across all projects and operations
Monitor and respond to changes in industry standards, codes, and client expectations
Facilitate regular and consistent quality meetings across regions and develop supporting materials as required
3. Administration
Develop and execute project-specific QA/QC plans and inspection/test plans
Ensure timely completion of QA/QC orientations and competency evaluations
Maintain QA/QC committees or working groups, assigning roles and providing ongoing support
Monitor quality performance results through client platforms and company systems
Maintain accurate and up-to-date QA/QC documentation in central databases
Communicate quality updates through bulletins, reports, lessons learned, monthly statistics, and improvement initiatives
Support estimating and business development by ensuring QA/QC requirements are accurately reflected in bids, proposals, and marketing materials
4. Training & Inspection
Ensure all employees and supervisors are provided training to assist in the management and understanding of QA/QC programs, policies, procedures, and standards
Work collaboratively with Supervisors to ensure employees are continuously trained in appropriate QA/QC processes
Reviews non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective action reports to ensure they are detailed, complete, and accurate
Ensures all quality documentation, certifications, and inspection records are managed according to applicable codes, client requirements, and corporate standards
QualificationsPost-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Technology Construction Management, or a related discipline considered an asset
Minimum 7–10 years of progressive QA/QC experience, preferably in construction, energy, or industrial sectors
Strong knowledge of ISO standards, quality management systems, and auditing practices
Proven ability to lead investigations, audits, and root cause analyses
Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Experience working with client QA/QC platforms and reporting systems
