We are looking for a Security / IT Consultant to support our team in strengthening and maintaining our security posture as we grow. This role will focus on managing security controls, device management, and ensuring compliance with frameworks such as SOC 2. The consultant will work closely with our leadership team and external vendors to ensure our systems remain secure, efficient, and audit-ready.

Security Controls & Compliance

• Support the implementation and ongoing management of SOC 2 controls.
• Assist with monitoring and documenting compliance requirements through Vanta.
• Advise on best practices for access management, security monitoring, and incident response.

Device & Endpoint Management

• Manage and monitor company devices using Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender.
• Ensure endpoint security policies are enforced and maintained.
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.

Infrastructure & Tools

• Configure and maintain security settings across Cloudflare, AWS, and/or GCP environments.
• Provide recommendations to improve system security and performance.
• Assist in responding to security alerts, audits, and penetration test findings.

Advisory & Support

• Provide strategic guidance on IT and security-related decisions.
• Act as a point of contact for security incidents or escalations.
• Train and support internal staff on security best practices

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT security, compliance, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender.
• Hands-on experience with Vanta for SOC 2 compliance (or similar tools).
• Familiarity with Cloudflare and at least one major cloud platform (AWS / GCP).
• Understanding of SOC 2 requirements and general IT security frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
