The position:

As a Chef and Culinary Educator, you'll be the creative force behind inspiring and educating our customers through unforgettable food experiences. In this role, you'll lead cooking classes, showcase appliance features through hands-on demonstrations, cater special events, and collaborate on creative promotional initiatives, all while maintaining the highest food safety standards. Your culinary expertise and ability to inspire will help customers feel confident, informed, and excited about their purchases, supporting our mission to deliver expert advice and outstanding service.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead cooking classes, product demonstrations, and presentations to educate and engage customers on appliance features and use.
  • Plan, prepare, and cater for events, including community functions, builder functions, and in-house activities, ensuring high-quality food and service.
  • Purchase and manage food and equipment inventory, maintaining quality, budget compliance, and proper storage.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams on promotional activities and content to support brand initiatives.

What you need to be successful:

  • Education or certification in culinary arts or a related field; Red Seal preferred.
  • Experience in the food industry, catering, or customer service.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen appliances, safe food handling practices, and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Physical stamina and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and attend off-site events or training.

Availability:

This is a full-time position and will require you to be available:

Tuesday to Saturday from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

(Shifts may be earlier based on event scheduling, but advanced notice will be given)
