POSITION SUMMARY:
We're looking for a detail-oriented BOM Controller to join our North America Procurement team. In this role, you'll monitor and control Bill of Material costs for our vehicles, ensuring compliance with Buy America regulations and supporting key procurement processes. Bring your expertise in ERP systems, data analysis, and cost control to drive efficiency and value.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lives and role models the company Values and culture at all times. (For all roles – do not delete)
- Analysis of all North American vehicle BOM costs by platform and customer
- To report all BOM cost changes each week, identifying both the magnitude and the owners
- To ensure that BOM system costs accurately always reflect approved supplier pricing
- To ensure that all BOM cost increases have the correct approval & sign off documentation in place
- To validate commodity savings in platform and customer BOMs
- To produce monthly KPI pack for all approved BOM cost movements by platform & customer variant
- To support the tendering & Cost of Production processes by providing the latest material cost information to the Commercial Department
- Accurate and timely reporting of BOM cost movements
- Commodity savings validated in platform and customer BOMs
- No unauthorized BOM cost increases
- Using the verified BOM, prepare a Buy America submission, where required.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Experience with Buy America regulation and audit submissions
- Thorough knowledge and experience of product BOM structures and classifications
- Thorough knowledge and experience of ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent Excel user skills and experience
- Good data analysis and reporting skills
- Drive, focus and determination to eliminate unnecessary cost
- Ability to influence outcomes through communication, influencing & problem solving
- Several years' experience in a manufacturing, materials or procurement environment
