Your Mission:

To manage a trendy design-forward concept store located in downtown Toronto! This role works with cross-functional teams at Global Headquarters to ensure smooth store operations and new product launches while maintaining high customer service standards to achieve targeted productivity and profitability.

What you'll do to be successful in this role…

Manage Store Operations: Support store operations including opening and closing procedures, scheduling associates, managing inventory, delivering and receiving stock and executing visual and window merchandising displays and processing point of sale transactions to ensure achievement of customer service standards and ongoing performance targets.

Drive Sales: Develop and implement sales strategies and effective action plans to increase sales; assist the Marketing department in maximizing the business potential of the store through execution of in-store events and development of social media content

Build a Winning Team: Recruit, train and motivate retail associates;as Brand Ambassador, demonstrate leadership and promote a positive brand image by upholding Company goals and values; maintain and develop staff awareness of brand standards and product knowledge

Deliver Great Customer Service: Coach and develop retail associates to provide the highest level of customer service while creating a friendly, professional shopping atmosphere

Report on Metrics: Develop analyses and provide feedback on transactions, new merchandise, consumer trends, quality concerns, merchandise pricing, top and bottom sellers and overall store performance and productivity

Maintain Standards: Manage and enforce strong visual merchandising standards including merchandise presentation, product replenishment, window signage and displays, lighting, general maintenance and cleanliness; follow and implement loss prevention and safety standards to protect Company assets and ensure a safe shopping and work environment

Requirements

What you'll bring…

Retail Business Savvy: Solid business acumen with excellent time management and organizational skills; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and POS systems and understanding of scheduling systems and sales analytics are necessary; well-developed visual merchandising skills required

Strong Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets through customer engagement and employee development with a passion for retail, home fashion and trends

Leadership and Team-Building Skills: Lead by example, performing all aspects of retail store work including executing tasks on the sales floor and in the back room; able to stand, walk and lift approximately up to 20 lbs./10 kg as required by business demands; flexible and available to work weekends and evening shifts; strong track record of recruiting, building and retaining a high-performing retail sales team; resourceful with a dynamic and energetic personal style

Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Well-developed communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision making skills; polished professional presentation and easily adaptable to different situations in a fast-paced retail environment

Suggested Education: Retail Management or Business-related post-secondary education is preferred

Preferred Experience: 4-6 years' progressive retail/boutique/store management experience including managing a retail sales team and working alongside an owner/operator are preferred
