Who Are We Looking For?
AI is transforming Sales, Marketing & Customer Success. As an AI company, Citylitics intends to be at the cutting edge of this trend. We are building a GTM AI team to lead this wave. We're looking for a talented Senior Growth Marketing Manager who can leverage AI-driven methods to unlock substantial growth across lead generation, sales demo's, prospect engagement, user adoption, customer renewal, and account expansions. This role is pivotal in expanding our market position by deeply and dynamically utilizing our proprietary data assets.
The position will be out of our Toronto Headquarters.
What Will You Accomplish?
- AI-Powered Market Research & Segmentation:
- Utilizing AI tools to analyze vast datasets for emerging market trends, competitor strategies, and identifying highly granular customer segments and their evolving needs (e.g., using AI for sentiment analysis of customer reviews, live customer feedback, and social media listening).
- Refining Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) and buyer personas, constantly updated with AI-driven insights on behavior, preferences, and pain points.
- Value Proposition & Messaging Refinement (with AI content generation):
- Leveraging generative AI tools to rapidly prototype and test different messaging, headlines, ad copy, and content variations for optimal resonance with target segments.
- Conducting A/B tests and multivariate tests on AI-generated content to optimize conversion rates.
- GTM Strategy & Campaign Design:
- Designing and implementing multi-channel campaigns (digital, content, social, email, partnerships) that leverage AI for personalization and automation.
- Configuring and monitoring marketing automation workflows (email nurturing, lifecycle campaigns) that incorporate AI-driven triggers and content.
- Product Adoption:
- Identifying where AI can be integrated into the customer journey to enhance experience, drive adoption from automated onboarding to predictive support.
- Developing and executing strategies to encourage user adoption of AI products and specific AI-powered features, utilizing personalized onboarding flows, in-app messaging, and targeted content campaigns informed by user behavior analytics. This includes monitoring feature usage and identifying opportunities for re-engagement or education.
- Sales Enablement (AI-Assisted):
- Creating AI-enhanced sales collateral, pitch decks, and demos that highlight the value of AI products.
- Reporting & Communication:
- Communicating insights and recommendations to stakeholders across marketing, sales, product, and leadership, highlighting the impact of AI on GTM success.
Requirements
Must-Have Skills:
- AI & Automation Literacy:
- Foundational knowledge of what AI and machine learning can do, specifically in a marketing context (e.g., personalization, content generation, predictive analytics, automation).
- Hands-on experience using generative AI tools (LLMs for content), AI-powered analytics platforms, AI-driven automation tools (e.g., for lead scoring, email sequences), and AI-enhanced ad platforms.
- Ability to craft effective prompts for AI tools to generate high-quality, relevant outputs for content, messaging, and insights.
- Growth Marketing Principles:
- Deep understanding of the entire customer lifecycle (awareness, acquisition, activation, retention, revenue, referral) and ability to identify and optimize touchpoints.
- Strong grasp of principles and tactics to improve conversion rates across various channels (landing pages, emails, ads, etc.).
- Proven experience in developing and executing strategies to acquire high-quality leads and nurture them through the sales funnel.
- Ability to create and implement programs to drive product usage and feature adoption, especially for new AI products.
- Digital Marketing Channel Expertise:
- Experience in designing, optimizing, and promoting self-serve product trials to drive adoption and convert users to paid customers, including understanding key metrics and user behavior within trial periods.
- Specific understanding and practical application of optimizing content for visibility and citations within AI-driven generative search results (e.g., Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT), focusing on context, authority, and structured data for AI models.
- Experience managing and optimizing campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads, with an understanding of AI-driven bidding and targeting.
- Ability to develop content strategies, create compelling content (and leverage AI for content generation), and optimize for search engines.
- Experience designing, segmenting, and executing effective email campaigns and managing automation workflows.
- Understanding of social media platforms for brand building, engagement, and lead generation.
- Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving:
- Ability to connect marketing efforts directly to business goals (revenue, growth, ROI) and understand the broader market landscape.
- Capacity to develop comprehensive GTM strategies for new products or initiatives.
- Skill in analyzing situations, identifying root causes of problems, and developing effective solutions.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Ability to clearly articulate complex ideas, create compelling messaging, and present data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders (including leadership).
- Proven ability to work effectively with product, sales, customer success, and engineering teams to align GTM efforts and drive results.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Coding/Scripting: SQL for advanced data extraction and manipulation, Python/R for complex data analysis, statistical modeling, or custom automation scripts, and HTML/CSS/JavaScript for basic website tweaks, landing page optimization, or implementing tracking pixels.
- Deep AI Technical Understanding: A deeper grasp of how certain AI models work (e.g., natural language processing, predictive models) can aid in better prompt engineering and tool utilization, and familiarity with integrating different AI tools or platforms via APIs.
- Customer Psychology & Behavioral Economics: Understanding consumer behavior, decision-making processes, and psychological triggers to create more persuasive and effective campaigns.
- UX/UI Principles: Basic understanding of user experience and user interface design to optimize landing pages, websites, and in-app experiences for conversions and adoption.
- Product Management Fundamentals: Familiarity with product development lifecycles and agile methodologies to better collaborate with product teams.
- Ethical AI Considerations: Awareness of the ethical implications of AI in marketing, including data privacy, bias, and responsible use of AI for personalization.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Former founders with experience running growth marketing & product will be prioritized due to their holistic understanding of rapid growth and product-led strategies.
