Teragonia's Value Creation & Analytics (VC&A) Department Summary

Teragonia's Value Creation & Analytics (VC&A) division bridges finance, consulting, and technology to support portfolio companies. We combine consulting rigor and AI to address complex challenges and enhance enterprise value through platform solutions and advisory. We prioritize professional growth through mentorship and cross-functional learning.

Astradis provides real-time intelligence through a function-specific command center, combining structured and unstructured data via our Fibron AI layer. Our analytics engine powers diagnostic dashboards, forecasting models, pricing tools, and operations modules, enabling clients to transition from reactive reporting to predictive strategy.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Analytics Engineer to help design and deliver tailored analytics solutions and actionable insights for our portfolio companies. VC&A focuses on three areas: Technical Mastery via Astradis, Business Operations for performance optimization, and Client Success to drive measurable results.

Core Responsibilities

Technical Implementation and Value Creation

  • Design data models to solve operational and financial problems
  • Build and maintain ELT pipelines and transform raw data using SQL
  • Create dashboards and reports that highlight performance insights
  • Identify KPIs and analyze data to drive improvements

Client Engagement

  • Translate business needs into data analysis programs
  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Build relationships with clients and internal teams
  • Present insights in a clear, actionable manner

Project Management

  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Collaborate across functions, including engineers and scientists
  • Support process improvements and apply best practices

Recruiting Process

  • Initial Interviews with Managers – Two interviews focused on fit and goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field with excellent academic performance from accredited universities
  • Demonstrated interest in learning how analytics insights drive business value
  • Advanced programming skills in SQL and Python
  • Experience in performing exploratory data analysis in a professional setting
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada (Canadian citizenship, permanent residence, or valid work permit. Teragonia may sponsor visa applications for eligible candidates subject to applicable Canadian immigration laws and regulations

Preferred

  • Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms and data and analytics technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, GCP, Airflow, DBT, FiveTran, GitHub, or highly relatable technologies
  • 2 years experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, software engineering or a related field at high-growth start-ups or at global consulting or financial services firms
  • At least one relevant internship experience or up to 2 years of engineering experience with in analytics, data, software or a related field at global consulting firms, top financial services firms or high-growth startups
  • High business acumen and advanced understanding of connectivity between operational data and financial data (ERP toCRM to PoS to HRIS to P&L / trial balance / journal entries, etc.)
  • Experience with data modeling methodologies (e.g., Kimball Modeling, Data Vault, Data Mesh)
  • Certification in data science or analytics
  • Master's in Business Analytics, Computer Science, or similar degree

Working Hours and ESA Exemption

This position is classified as a specialized professional role under O. Reg. 285/01, s. 2 of Ontario's Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA) and is therefore exempt from overtime pay requirements. While standard hours of work are expected to be approximately 40 hours per week, additional hours may be required to meet client deliverable sand business needs. Such expectationsare reflected in the annual salary.

Canadian Experience
