Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and maintain robust backend services using Node.js and GraphQL.
- Develop and enhance dynamic frontend interfaces with React.js and Material-UI.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code across the stack.
- Maintain and expand our REST and GraphQL APIs, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Collaborate closely with QA engineers to uphold code quality through testing and reviews.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team-wide knowledge sharing.
- Participate in technical design discussions and help define long-term architectural strategies.
- Work in a hybrid setup (Tues–Thurs in-office), communicating effectively with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in full-stack development within fast-paced SaaS environments.
- Proficiency in React.js, JavaScript/ECMAScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Solid backend experience with Node.js and GraphQL (Apollo).
- Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest and performance/debugging tools.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and code documentation skills.
- Experience or willingness to learn React Native and CI/CD pipelines.
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Exposure to Python backend development is a plus.
- Ability to work in a hybrid schedule based in Toronto.
