Paladin Security is looking for professional, dedicated, and customer-service focused Security Guards to join our team at Seneca Polytechnic – Newnham Campus. This high-profile post-secondary environment requires guards who are proactive, attentive, and confident in handling a variety of situations while promoting a safe and inclusive community.

You will play a key role in maintaining campus safety, supporting students and faculty, responding to incidents, and representing Paladin with integrity and professionalism.

• Full-Time
• Shift Options: Continental rotation (12 or 8 hours) or Monday–Friday
• Overtime: ESA Overtime (44 hrs) or Averaging Agreement (88 hrs)

• Patrol and monitor campus grounds to ensure safety and security
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations calmly and professionally
• De-escalate crises and provide First Aid/CPR as needed
• Maintain detailed incident reports and logs
• Support and build positive relationships with students, staff, and faculty
• Monitor entrances/exits and manage authorized access
• Conduct key, radio, and lost & found audits
• Uphold a clean-cut appearance and represent Paladin's core values
• Attend ongoing professional development and training
• Work both independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (WSIB Approved)
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination (2 doses)
• Valid G or G2 Ontario Driver's License
• 1+ year of experience in a post-secondary security environment
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work continental shifts
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a diverse community
• Physically able to walk/stand for extended periods in all weather conditions
• Comfortable with technology (two-way radios, reporting tools, computer systems)
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
• Professional demeanor, clean-cut appearance, and high attention to detail
• MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behaviour) and Use of Force training (preferred)
• Vulnerable Sector Check (required prior to hire)
