The Events & Development Coordinator plays a central role in executing impactful events and driving fundraising efforts for the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation. This dynamic position blends event coordination, marketing support, and partner development—bringing together storytelling, logistics, and relationship-building to grow the Foundation's reach and impact.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable leading event planning while also creating compelling proposals and selling sponsorship opportunities to community and corporate partners.

Requirements

Where will your talents be focused?
  • Event Execution: Plan and deliver Foundation events from start to finish, including logistics, timelines, and onsite coordination.
  • Marketing Support: Create engaging proposals, recap reports, and marketing materials that showcase the Foundation's impact.
  • Donor & Sponsor Engagement: Steward existing supporters while also identifying and pursuing new corporate partners.
  • Sponsorship Sales: Proactively secure sponsors and partners for events and campaigns, including pitching tailored opportunities.
  • Benefit Fulfillment: Track and deliver on sponsor benefits, ensuring strong partner satisfaction and retention.
  • Campaign & Auction Support: Coordinate Foundation-led campaigns and online fundraising auctions.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and community teams to align on messaging and maximize exposure.
What's needed to be successful in this role?
  • Relevant experience: 3+ years in a business-to-business relationship role, ideally focused on event fundraising and event partnerships. Experience working for a charity is an asset.
  • Educational background: A completed bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Independent & Driven: You take initiative, stay organized, and manage your time with confidence.
  • Creative & Strategic Thinker: You love coming up with new ideas and turning them into real results.
  • Strong Communicator: You can build relationships, write clear proposals, and speak with passion and professionalism.
  • Event Leadership: You've got experience running events and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Sales Savvy: You're comfortable selling ideas, building sponsor packages, and closing partnership deals.
  • Team Player with a Positive Vibe: You bring energy, collaboration, and a sense of fun to everything you do.
  • Passion for Sport & Community: You believe in the power of sport to connect people and give back—and you want to be part of that story.
