We are looking for an efficient People and Culture Coordinator to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. Reporting to the People and Culture Generalist, the successful candidate will perform daily HR functions such as full-cycle recruitment processes, and referral program management. This position also involves performing tasks with a focus to grow our company's talent pipeline and improve our sourcing tactics. The ideal candidate will possess a basic knowledge of or interest in HR as well as general administrative responsibilities. They will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations.

This is a hybrid position, with opportunities for some work from home days each week if desired (more in office time may be required during the initial weeks of training). We offer a competitive starting salary of $55,000 annually, 3 weeks of paid vacation, and extended health and dental benefits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform the full cycle recruitment/hiring process by placing job ads, selecting resumes, pre-screening, performing background checks, issuing employment contracts etc
  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data in the database (DayForce)
  • Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.)
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects
  • Support other functions as assigned
  • Manage our referral program and signing bonuses
  • Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration or a relevant field; additional education in Human Resource Management will be a plus
  • Proven interest or knowledge in a human resources/administrative position
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
  • Strong ability in using MS Office
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems or HRIS systems, such as DayForce or Workable (preferred, not required)
  • In-depth understanding of sourcing tools, like resume databases and online communities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality
