We are seeking a versatile and experienced Project Manager / Project Engineer to join our Projects and Construction Group. In this dual-role position, you will lead select projects while supporting others. You will play a critical role in delivering both capital and expense projects at an industrial conversion facility, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and within scope, schedule, and budget.

This role combines project management leadership with technical engineering expertise (electrical, mechanical, or civil), offering you the opportunity to make a tangible impact on facility operations and performance.

  • Lead and support projects from concept to completion, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define business needs and develop conceptual solutions.
  • Develop detailed project scopes, schedules, budgets, and secure funding approval.
  • Provide engineering support and technical designs for facility upgrades and improvements.
  • Prepare requests for proposals, evaluate bids, and manage contractor performance.
  • Ensure all project solutions meet regulatory, safety, environmental, and internal standards.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular updates on cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Manage multiple smaller projects simultaneously, typically under $2M each.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of industrial experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a P.Eng designation (PEO)
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical, mechanical, or piping systems.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to manage projects in an industrial or heavy industrial environment.
  • Exceptional communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
  • SAP Experience.
