About Total Life

Total Life is on a mission to transform mental health for older adults across North

America. As the nation's leading teletherapy platform for aging well, we've already

served tens of thousands of sessions and been named Best in Business by Inc.

Magazine. We're growing fast — and we're looking for someone exceptional to grow

with us.

The Role

We're looking for a Corporate Controller to lead our accounting, finance & business

performance strategy. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic professional who is

passionate about our mission and ready to roll up their sleeves to help build a world-

class company. This is not your average finance role — you'll be embedded in the

heartbeat of the business, working cross-functionally with the CEO, operations, product,

and growth to drive smarter decisions, manage multiple entities, and lay the financial

foundation for scale.

You'll own and evolve everything from accounting and tax filings to forecasting and

financial storytelling. You'll get real equity, real responsibility, and a real shot at growing

into an executive leadership role as we scale.

What You'll Do

Manage the monthly close, designing processes, controls, systems, and related

documentation

Oversee tax compliance and statutory filings across multiple Canadian and US

entities

Own financial reporting, forecasting, and board/investor reporting

Build and maintain models in Excel and dashboards in Power BI

Oversee budgeting, cash flow management, and scenario planning

Set up internal processes to manage spend, vendor relationships, and legal

paperwork

Collaborate on strategic planning, pricing decisions, and expansion

Work directly with leadership on high-impact projects across departments

Support future fundraising rounds with clean data and clear insights

Requirements

Who You Are

You love the mental health, longevity, and wellness space

Incredibly curious — you want to learn every part of the business

Highly proficient in Excel and Power BI — you turn chaos into clarity

You have strong experience with a top firm in accounting, forecasting, tax, and

entity management

You thrive in startups — low ego, high hustle, and big picture thinking

Strong communicator who can translate numbers into narratives

Experience designing and owning accounting close processes

CPA license or equivalent designation a strong plus

Bonus: experience in cross-border finance (US + Canada)

Benefits

Work with a mission-driven team changing lives

Equity + compensation that grows with you

Upward mobility — this role can evolve into Director or VP

Direct access to visionary leadership and meaningful mentorship

A chance to build something that matters — and have fun doing it

Location: Edmonton, AB

Salary: $80,000CAD with equity package potential
