Position Summary: the shipper/receiver will be responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of parts at the designated locations and will be responsible for moving inventory to / from the receiving or shipping docks, packaging, and loading.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Loads, unloads, and move products from trucks and within the department.
- Wraps product per standard.
- Uses hand tools to build crates or other shipping packages.
- Inspects product per quality standard documents and report all defects.
- Comply with all safety and housekeeping rules and regulations.
- Ensures all shipping crates/ pallets are properly loaded and secured.
- Follows all documented and implemented work instructions are followed.
- Inventory counting and control of materials, work-in-process, and finished products in the shipping area.
- Advises Material handlers/ Drivers in regard to shipping/ warehouse priorities
- Proper care and daily maintenance of assigned/department tools and equipment.
- Reports and follow up on all non-conformities directly with the shop supervisor or appropriate shop area personnel for correction.
- Must be familiar with the manufacturing information system in regard to generating the shipping bills.
- Follow and adhere to all housekeeping, health, and safety standards
- Proper care and daily maintenance of the assigned / department tools and equipment
- Must support and adhere to all Lean and 5S initiatives
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Ability to operate lift truck, Dolly, and/or Pallet Jack
- Good verbal and written communication
- Able to work independently and with a team
- Demonstrated ability on initiative and sound judgment
