About the role:

veritree is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Marketing to lead our marketing team and accelerate the company's growth trajectory. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in B2B SaaS marketing, with a proven track record of building demand generation and go-to-market teams, and aligning marketing strategies with sales objectives. Experience within venture-backed businesses is an asset.

Key outcomes for this role in the next 12 months include:

Scalable Demand Generation Engine Built & Driving Revenue Growth

  • Developed and executed a demand generation strategy that increases qualified inbound lead volume by 2x year-over-year.
  • Established a multi-channel marketing approach directly contributing to a >25% increase in marketing-sourced sales pipeline value.
  • Implemented a lead scoring and nurturing framework to improve conversion rates from MQL to SQL by >25%.

Clear & Effective Go-to-Market Strategy for veritree's Offerings

  • Created and executed a GTM strategy for veritree's key products and partnerships, ensuring messaging, positioning, and campaigns resonate with target audiences.
  • Defined and launched at least one major product marketing campaign per quarter, supporting key business objectives.
  • Improved sales enablement by delivering a set of standardized assets (pitch decks, case studies, battle cards) that support the sales team in closing deals more efficiently.

Marketing Team & Tech Stack Operationalized for Scale

  • Built a high-performing marketing team, hiring at least 5 key roles (i.e., demand generation manager, customer marketing manager) to support long-term marketing goals.
  • Optimized the marketing tech stack, implementing or refining tools for marketing automation, CRM integration, and analytics to enable better attribution and reporting. us
  • Established marketing performance dashboards that track KPIs such as lead generation, pipeline contribution, and campaign ROI, with clear insights for executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy & Team Building:

  • You will develop and lead the execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy, aligned with the company's growth goals and objectives.
  • You will define key initiatives for demand generation, product marketing, content marketing, and brand awareness.
  • You will manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • You will recruit, onboard, and develop marketing talent.

Demand Generation and Go-to-Market:

  • You will oversee and optimize multi-channel demand generation campaigns (email, performance marketing, social media, webinars, content, etc.) to generate qualified leads for the sales team.
  • You will focus on lead nurturing, conversion rates, and pipeline growth.
  • You will work closely with the Sales and Product teams to align marketing efforts with sales objectives, create seamless lead handoff processes, and support the Sales team with necessary collateral and resources.
  • You will plan and manage company participation in key industry events, conferences, and webinars to support lead-generation efforts.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • You will develop and manage the marketing budget, allocating resources to maximize ROI across campaigns and initiatives.
  • You will continuously analyze marketing performance metrics, campaign results, and customer data to refine strategies and optimize effectiveness.
  • You will make data-driven decisions to improve lead generation and customer acquisition.
  • You will manage the marketing tech stack, ensuring seamless integration of CRM, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms.

Product Marketing:

  • You will work closely with product management to develop the ICP, product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies that effectively communicate the value of the company's solutions.
  • You will oversee product launches and collaborate on customer education efforts.

Brand Development and Content Strategy:

  • You will strengthen the company's brand positioning in the market through consistent messaging, PR, and brand storytelling.
  • You will oversee the creation of high-quality content that drives engagement and supports lead generation efforts.
  • You will ensure content is optimized for distribution and speaks to our mission.

Requirements

Professional Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of marketing experience in a B2B SaaS environment, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or director-level role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful demand generation and lead generation strategies that drive business growth.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and marketing automation tools.
  • Experience in product marketing, including positioning, messaging, and/or go-to-market strategies for SaaS products.
  • Knowledge of sales cycles and how marketing can support B2B sales processes.

A typical hiring range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 CAD per year with the final salary offer based on your qualifications, job-related skills, and relevant experience.
