This role is based out of our Barrie, ON Plant. We are seeking an upbeat individual with a keen eye for detail and a positive demeanor. The successful candidate will have a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement of themselves and the company.

HOURLY WAGE: $35.12

Principle Accountabilities

The incumbent will be responsible for the Design, build and setup of takeout robots and EOAT for production runs including the adjustment of pick, move, and dropoff points within the program. Load the appropriate program into in-house auxiliary equipment ensuring the highest quality and safety standards. Changing any tooling and jigs associated to the automated equipment.

Electrical controls setup, changeover and Preventative Maintenance of varying equipment such as Sonic Welders, Barcode Machines, 3PA and Inlet Automation Equipment

  • PLC, robot and HMI programming, implementation and troubleshooting
  • Setup and PM resin pellet receivers and blenders
  • Clean valve stack filters
  • Diagnose and solve basic pneumatics
  • Setup, change over and PM Enfield Automation cells, wire benders, crimpers etc.
  • Assist Setup Department with all auxiliary equipment at the machine examples include but are not limited to: thermolators, mold heater controls and Can-Seals
  • Clean, unjam and PM conveyor systems such as: Weening bros, EMI, belt conveyors, Intralox conveyors.
  • Frequent use of Craneways, forklift, power tools, pneumatic tools, injection molding machines, and other miscellaneous equipment
  • Additional duties as required

Requirements

  • Successful completion of Post-Secondary education in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or similar field with a 2, 3 or 4-year diploma.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products such as Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word and Teams.
  • 5 years previous experience in robot programming, PLC Programming and troubleshooting preferred
  • Technical skills for electrical and/or PLC along with ability to read documents including but not limited to; schematics, blueprints, pneumatic diagrams etc.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting ability
  • Self-motivated and self-directing
  • Ability to work well with other departments is a must
  • Strong social skills

Working Environment

  • Standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, and bending on concrete floor/equipment
