We're looking for an Application Support Analyst with experience in building and supporting web-based applications and tools to join the fast-moving team at Goodfood. Reporting to the Cloud Operations & Cybersecurity Manager, the Application Support Analyst will play a major role within production support team. Within this new team, you will work with a team of SysAdmins, ERP engineers, full-stack developers with the mission of being cross-functional specialists to build innovative eCommerce features and tackle difficult and sometimes critical problems within the GoodFood e-commerce platform.

We work on a range of interesting and challenging problems and you should feel comfortable tackling any production issues as well as back-end or front-end development tasks.

Responsibilities

As an Application Support Analyst, you will play a crucial role within our production support team, reporting to the Cloud Operations & Cybersecurity Manager. You will work alongside Helpdesk Supports and full-stack developers, tackling complex issues and ensuring our eCommerce platform runs smoothly.

  • L2/L3 E-Commerce Application Support.
  • L1/L2 ERP Functional Support (Dynamics).
  • Flexibility regarding working hours (on-call rotation schedule - 4 days every 3 to 4 weeks).
  • Provide initial triage, Investigate and resolve production incidents.
  • Maintain an accurate record of open incidents.
  • Work and communicate with users to understand the issue and impact and escalate as required for critical issues
  • Deploy automated code to production.
  • Analyze, design, code, and maintain existing functionalities.
  • Perform unit testing to ensure feature quality.
  • Research, design, test, implement, and maintain online and back-end data services applications in a Linux environment within the GCP cloud, leveraging modern service frameworks including PHP applications.
  • Maintain thorough and clear documentation for both development processes and operational procedures.
  • Create alerts & monitor assigned applications, identify and address operational issues before they impact customers.
  • Automation opportunities to streamline repetitive tasks and improve overall efficiency.
KPIs
  • Ticket Resolution:
    • Level 2 (App Support - P2/P3) Ticket Resolutions: Average resolution time < 3 days.
    • Critical (P1) Tickets: All resolved within 1 day.
  • Defect Management:
    • Ensure all issues are resolved correctly.
    • No ticket reopening.

Requirements

  • Education: BS or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience in IT Helpdesk, Application Support, or DevOps.
  • Bilingual (English/French).
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in MySQL & PHP.
    • Experience with PHP frameworks (preferably Laravel or Symfony).
    • Experience with Javascript.
    • Must enjoy solving code bugs and implementing lasting solutions.
    • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
    • Knowledge of test-driven development and modern deployment practices.
    • Strong Knowledge of the HTTP model.
    • Chrome Dev Tools.
    • Passionate about automation and improving efficiency through innovative solutions.
    • Strong team player.
    • Smart thinker with the ability to understand and solve complex problems.
    • Monitoring/Observability experience.
    • Jira & Confluence.
  • Bonus Skills:
    • Cloud experience, particularly GCP.
    • ERP experience, especially with Dynamics (D365) is a big asset.
    • Knowledge of warehouse operations.
