We have a bold vision of a world free of multiple sclerosis (MS). For 75 years, we have been living our mission to connect and empower the MS community to create positive change and you can be part of that! Our team is looking for a Manager, Volunteer Program Design, on a 12-month contract working 35 hours per week anywhere in Canada. We support flexible work options; with some purposeful based in-person meetings, based on your location. Please apply by June 7, 2024.

Requirements

The impact you will have:

The Manager, Volunteer Program Design is responsible for developing volunteer programs and initiatives that further engage, inform, and inspire the volunteer community. This role designs and continuously evaluates volunteer programs and initiatives to assess impact and encourage collective action.

Key Areas of Impact:

  • Designs initiatives and resources to support the volunteer life cycle, ensuring alignment across portfolios.
  • Continuously monitors and evaluates volunteer programs to identify gaps/issues and makes improvements and efficiencies.
  • Collaborates with internal and external MS community members to understand volunteer needs in a focused area of the organization and help improve programs that add value.
  • Provides input on volunteer strategy from expertise on content areas

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has a college diploma with at least 3 years' experience in a volunteer and or community engagement or equivalent combination of education and experience? (Certificate in volunteer engage/management is an asset)
  • Has demonstrated experience designing and delivering tools, processes, workshops and events.
  • Has experience and/or exposure to community-based programs.
  • Has an ability to lead and coach others to achieve common goals.
  • Has demonstrated skills in building volunteer strategies as well as analyzing data and trends. Familiarity with Salesforce is an asset.
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to exercise sound judgement.
  • Can effectively partner with all levels of the organization and positively influence teams.
