We're looking for our next experienced QA Tester to join our development team. Reporting to the Manager, Engineering, you'll be part of a team that is building innovative solutions to help our customers in senior living and healthcare.

A day in the life as a QA Tester:

  • Review system requirements and design documents to create, execute and document detailed, accurate test cases.
  • Perform functional, integration, smoke, sanity, API, and regression testing on our customer-facing websites for both desktop and mobile.
  • Keep the manual test case repository updated with the current state of project requirements.
  • Work on QA planning, test case signoff and execution, and reporting of sprint/project status to necessary stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to automate test cases and other improvements that can be made to the QA process.
  • Participate in the scrum squad project structure (e.g., attend scrum meetings, plan, and provide estimations).
  • Work with Product Owners and other stakeholders to understand evolving project requirements and build test plans/test cases.
  • Log and track bug tickets identified during different test phases and work with developers to ensure proper resolution.
  • Assist Product Owners in the creation and tracking of executable acceptance criteria.
  • Keep Jira updated with status of assigned tickets, add required information while reopening or closing the tickets so that it can referenced when required.
  • Triage defects and identify blockers early so that the squad team and business are aware of potential impacts.
  • Act as a mentor to junior & intermediate QA team members.

  • I have knowledge of QA testing or QA engineering.
  • I gained my knowledge through 4-6+ years of direct experience in quality assurance.
  • I have experience with Jira, Testrail, and Postman.
  • I'm familiar with SQL and have worked with large amounts of data.
  • I'm exceptional at various types of software testing.
  • I have a proven ability to work autonomously on multiple projects concurrently and prioritize accordingly.
  • I have a proven ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and propose solutions.
  • I have worked as part of a geographically dispersed team.
  • I'm willing to occasionally travel and have a valid passport and no travel restrictions that limit my ability to cross the border between Canada and the USA.
  • I thrive in an agile environment that is constantly changing and encourages team members to collectively collaborate and communicate
  • I love to be directly involved in projects and initiatives that offer continued learning and endless opportunity to express my ideas and build my leadership skills
