Your Impact at CNIB
  • Gathers information from different sources, verifying the detailed information needed for the preparation of invoices, sales orders, order confirmations, debit notes and credit notes.
  • Records invoices, sales orders, debit notes and credit notes in the NetSuite accounting system.
  • Applies payments and other offsets against customer records.
  • Prints and distributes accounts receivable/payable documents.
  • Maintains accounts receivable/payable records through filing, retrieval, retention, storage, and compilation of documents.
  • Provides support to the accounting department and performs other accounting tasks and projects as assigned.

Requirements

Who you are:

Education and Certifications

  • Post-Secondary student returning to school in the next academic year.
  • Registered as a fulltime student during the preceding academic year
  • Working towards a degree or diploma in Business Administration or Accounting or Economics

Experience and Qualifications

  • Ability to respond quickly and multitask.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience in office work an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
Eligibility

This position is funded through Canada Summer Jobs. To be eligible to participate in the Canada Summer Jobs initiative, individuals must:

  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment.
  • Be a Canadian citizens, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations. International students are not eligible participants. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
