Project Geologist

1911 Gold Corporation is seeking a safety-focused Project Geologist to support and oversee exploration and drilling activities at the True North Mine in Bissett, Manitoba. This role plays a key part in surface and underground drilling programs, core logging, sampling, geological interpretation, and data management.

The Project Geologist supports the advancement of exploration targets and resource development through accurate data collection, geological modeling, and reporting. Reporting to the Exploration Manager or designated Supervisor, this position works closely with the geology team, drilling contractors, and other site departments to ensure exploration programs are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with Company objectives.

Exploration & Drilling Programs

• Supervise surface and underground drilling programs to ensure safe and efficient execution.
• Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to manage drilling schedules and priorities.
• Support exploration of target development and resource advancement through geological interpretation.

Core Logging, Sampling & Data Management

• Oversee core logging, sampling, and QA/QC procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Compile, validate, and interpret geological data from drilling programs.
• Maintain accurate geological databases, records, and supporting documentation

Geological Modeling & Reporting

• Support geological modeling and exploration targeting using Leapfrog and MX Deposit.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on exploration activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of exploration processes and workflows.

Safety, Compliance & Team Support

• Ensure exploration activities comply with Company standards, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture in all geological activities.
• Support the development and mentoring of junior geologists and technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology and Geological Engineering.
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence (or provincial equivalent).

Experience

• Previous experience working on exploration drilling programs.
• Experience on underground drilling programs will be a plus.
• The ideal candidate has further education or qualifications in the field of management or supervision .
• Experience in orogenic gold deposit and structural geology will be a plus.

Professional Designation

• Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) in the Province of Manitoba.

• Strong geological interpretation, data validation, and reporting skills.
• Ability to coordinate drilling contractors and collaborate across site departments.
• Working knowledge of geological modeling and database software, including Leapfrog and MX Deposit.
• Strong communication, organizational, and safety leadership skills.

• Ability to work a 14-days-on / 14-days-off day-shift rotation at a camp-based mine site.
• Ability to support surface and underground exploration and drilling activities.
