The incumbent acts as an accounting expert for the entire finance sector. They contribute to the organization's financial planning, the management of various projects aimed at the continuous improvement of business and financial processes aligned with the network's strategic plans, the development of complex financial analysis tools, and the monitoring of financial results. They implement management tools to monitor operational budgets across the entire Network, organize and oversee the application of financial, budgetary, and statistical reporting, and work closely with relevant stakeholders including colleagues in the budget and financial accounting sectors as well as those in operational areas. They contribute to the system configuration and ensure that reports meet operational requirements and needs, thereby producing accurate and relevant information. They provide advice on and coordinate the annual budget process and the preparation of financial information, while also supporting the production of various financial reports. They are responsible for managing specific financial aspects as needed such as tracking initiatives and projects in collaboration with colleagues. As an expert in analysis applications, they identify, process, analyze, and organize useful and relevant information, incorporating it into various models that they design and refine to support senior management and facilitate optimal decision-making.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting;
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) is considered an asset;
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in financial accounting;
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
  • Relevant experience in budget management is considered an asset;
  • Relevant experience in process improvement and implementation of best practices is considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and other software used within the Network;
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial principles;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and persuasion skills;
  • Ability to translate strategic directions into value-added actions;
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to solve complex problems, strong writing and synthesis skills, and results-oriented approach;
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to establish priorities;
  • Valid driver's licence and availability to travel within the Vitalité Health Network territory.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
