Custodians - 2026/27 Winter Season - East Hants Sportsplex

Do you like being part of a busy community facility? Do you have some availability to work flexible hours in the fall and winter months? Are you familiar with cleaning procedures in large buildings? If this sounds like you, apply to work as a Seasonal Custodian this fall/winter season at the East Hants Sportsplex!

We are recruiting for Seasonal Custodians to join our team. Custodians perform cleaning and minor maintenance functions at the East Hants Sportsplex.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience in cleaning methods, equipment, and procedures used in the care of large buildings.
  • Comfortable performing custodial work in a child and vulnerable population focused environment.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs and can work in varying temperatures.
  • Current WHMIS, CPR/First Aid certification, Biohazard or ability to successfully complete.
  • Clean Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
  • Understanding of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging in a customer focused environment
  • Have the ability to work a schedule that could include some days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Clean Vulnerable Sector check and Child Abuse Registry Check will be required.

Hours: Part-time or full-time hours are available. Please note your availability in your application.

Hourly Rate: $24.59/hour
