Facility Attendant - 2026/27 Fall/Winter Season - East Hants Sportsplex

Do you like being part of a busy community facility? Do you like being the person called on to help with set-ups and take-downs, and doing some of the labour and prep work of getting a facility ready for events? Do you have some availability to work flexible hours in the fall and winter months? If this sounds like you, apply to work as a Facility Attendant this fall/winter season at the East Hants Sportsplex!

The Facility Attendant performs set-up and take-down activities such as moving nets and equipment during ice maintenance, moving equipment in preparation for events or closing down after an event, cleaning and preparing dressing rooms, mopping/sweeping, emptying garbage bins, and other general labour tasks around the facility.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Are physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, and can work in varying temperatures.
  • Have the ability to work a schedule that could include some days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Clean Vulnerable Sector check and Child Abuse Registry Check will be required.

Hours: Casual and Part-time hours are available. Please note your availability in your application.

Hourly Rate: $17.50/hour
