Brand Specialist (Digital Experience Specialist)

The Digital Experience Specialist is responsible for strengthening NB Power's customer-facing digital presence by leading the planning, governance, coordination, and continuous improvement of content across NB Power's web properties. The role ensures web content is accurate, accessible, customer-focused, and aligned with NB Power's brand standards. Working closely with business units and digital teams, the incumbent translates complex information into clear, engaging content that supports customer education, self-service, product promotion, and energy literacy.
Key functions include:
- Lead the planning, creation, review and continuous improvement of content across NB Power's web properties.
- Use customer research, analytics, accessibility standards, and content best practices to improve customer experiences, support self-service, and achieve business objectives.
- Work closely with UX, accessibility, digital and product teams to improve content effectiveness, website usability, and customer journeys.
- Support website enhancements, accessibility improvements, search optimization, AI visibility initiatives, and future website redesign activities.
- Support the implementation and ongoing operation of NB Power's website governance framework by fostering content ownership, accountability, and collaboration across business units.
- Manage the content lifecycle for NB Power's web properties, including content planning, review, publishing, and ongoing improvement.
- Partner with content owners across the organization to ensure content is accurate, accessible, customer-focused, and up to date.
- Maintain content standards, monitor content performance, and identify opportunities to improve clarity, quality and effectiveness.
- Gather business requirements, translate complex information into clear, useful content for customers.
- Coordinate website requests, publishing activities, governance workflows, and content review processes across business units.
Our ideal teammate will have:
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field combined with five years of progressive experience leading or supporting digital experience, website operations, content strategy, digital communications, product management, customer experience, or digital marketing initiatives
Combined with demonstrated experience in:
- Demonstrated experience developing, editing, or managing customer-facing content across digital channels.
- Experience coordinating work across multiple stakeholders, business units, or project teams.
- Experience administering or managing content within an enterprise website CMS.
- Experience with content governance, content strategy, or digital channel management would be considered an asset.
- Experience with accessibility, SEO, analytics, UX writing, customer experience, or digital transformation initiatives would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of utility, public sector, or other complex customer-focused organizations, including their business operations, stakeholder environments, and service delivery models.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
