Service New Brunswick is seeking an individual to join the Application Portfolio Management team within the Technology Services Division as an Application Strategist lead for Application Portfolio Management (APM).
The Application Portfolio Management team identifies and pursues opportunities to support the delivery, management, and support of the strategic roadmap for the Technology Services Application Portfolio for both Enterprise and Client Applications.
Reporting to the Manager of Solution Planning Services, your key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible as the primary lead to research, design, further develop, modify, maintain, and the continuous improvement of standard operating procedures and associated support documentation (e.g., task details) required for APM.
- Ensuring that the current APM database evolves to meet the strategic roadmap
- Establishment of a viable data structure leveraging the SNB Operational Applications to support the analysis of services from all perspective (performance, efficiency and client satisfaction).
- The ability to quickly identify data gaps and find the root causes to recommend solutions (process modifications, data integration, etc.).
- Must understand information management and integration of data for a unified source of truth.
- Relationship management through collaboration with SNB clients to make informed decision on application.
- A strong working knowledge of SNB's delivery model is beneficial to understand the operational interactions within SNB Technology Services

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: A university degree in Computer Science and a minimum of six (6) years of related and progressive experience in an IT setting with a strong understanding of IT customer service processes from a line of business perspective. Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered, or the required years of experience may be increased.
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate:
Experience in process modelling, documenting existing business processes and developing new business processes to support the implementation of new technical solutions using use case modeling concepts;
Experience in conducting user workshops to uncover and define requirements;
Experience in the implementation of technical solutions in an operational environment, both technical and business;
Experience with "Gap Analysis" process used to identify to new/changed business requirements with respect to existing or off-the-shelf products;
Experience in security relating to data confidentiality and client privacy issues in application design and development.
Experience in report development and the interpretation of the data contained.
Strong understanding of data structure is essential.
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The following operational requirement(s) is also required:
Some weekday evenings and weekend work hours may be required.
