JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Infrastructure Project Manager, the person in this position participates in the planning, coordination, and implementation of capital projects within Zone 6 of the Vitalité Health Network. More specifically, as part of the major expansion and renovation projects at Chaleur Regional Hospital, as well as other infrastructure initiatives, the incumbent manages a project portfolio valued at between $10 million and $25 million annually. The position's primary responsibilities include coordinating infrastructure projects from design through completion, monitoring budgets, timelines, and the scope of projects under their responsibility, collaborating with users, consultants, contractors, and government partners; to participate in identifying needs, planning work, and monitoring its execution; to prepare progress reports and carry out the necessary follow-ups; and to act as a representative of the Vitalité Health Network in projects carried out under the responsibility of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Postsecondary education in architecture, engineering, project management, or a related field;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an architectural or engineering technician in the delivery of major projects, preferably in a hospital setting;
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an asset;
  • Experience managing budgets exceeding $50 million is considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and specialized software such as AutoCAD and MS Project;
  • Knowledge of issues related to construction projects in a hospital setting;
  • Ability to manage all phases of project delivery;
  • Effective interpersonal and organizational communication skills;
  • Knowledge of infection prevention and control principles;
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards for staff and clients;
  • Administrative skills, including report writing, meeting preparation, and development of work tools;
  • Strong organizational skills, effective time management, and ability to establish priorities;
  • Leadership, initiative, and good judgment;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
