Job Title: Executive Officer

Location: Moncton, NB

Shift: Mondays to Fridays, 8am-5pm

Wage: $100,000-$120,000 annually

Position Summary:

The Executive Officer is the chief administrative leader of the Association, responsible for implementing the strategic direction established by the Board of Directors while overseeing all aspects of the Association's operations. Reporting directly to the Board, the Executive Officer provides leadership in governance, financial management, membership engagement, advocacy, communications, events, and organizational development to ensure the Association delivers exceptional value to its members and advances the residential construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to achieve the Association's mission, goals, and strategic priorities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors, members, committees, government, industry partners, sponsors, and stakeholders.
  • Lead governance activities by supporting Board and committee meetings, implementing Board decisions, maintaining corporate records, and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, bylaws, and policies.
  • Oversee the Association's financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, audits, and sound financial controls.
  • Develop and implement strategies to recruit, retain, and engage members while delivering high-quality member services and support.
  • Lead government relations and advocacy initiatives by monitoring industry issues, building relationships with elected officials, and representing the Association on matters affecting the residential construction sector.
  • Direct all communications, marketing, public relations, website content, social media, newsletters, and member communications to strengthen the Association's profile and engagement.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for Association events, sponsorships, programs, and the successful delivery of the annual Home Show and other signature initiatives.
  • Recruit, mentor, supervise, and develop staff and contractors while fostering a collaborative, high-performing workplace culture.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, community organizations, sponsors, and affiliated associations.
  • Support long-term organizational sustainability through strategic planning, policy development, performance measurement, operational improvements, and succession planning.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, recommendations, and correspondence while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and member service.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is a collaborative and strategic leader with experience in association management, business administration, nonprofit leadership, or a related field. They possess strong financial acumen, governance knowledge, relationship-building skills, and exceptional communication abilities. Experience working with Boards of Directors, government stakeholders, and member-based organizations is considered an asset.
