The Content and Social Media Coordinator supports the execution and coordination of social media and content initiatives across supporting business lines. This role is responsible for coordinating content delivery, social listening, leadership content support, and event‑based social execution, enabling senior roles to focus on strategy, platform optimization, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate social media content creation and scheduling for supporting business lines and emerging initiatives
- Support execution of social content for campaigns led by content lead/specialist, including scheduling, asset coordination, and basic optimization
- Coordinate content assets and publishing activities for social media, email marketing, and website channels, supporting the successful execution of integrated marketing campaigns.
- Maintain and manage the content calendar in alignment with approved strategies and priorities
- Coordinate leadership and executive content, including planning, approvals, scheduling, and execution
- Support internal storytelling and executive visibility initiatives across social channels
- Conduct ongoing social listening and monitoring across platforms
- Identify engagement opportunities, emerging trends, and potential issues, escalating insights or risks as appropriate
- Support social media coverage for events, sponsorships, and community initiatives
- Coordinate asset capture, posting, and post‑event content delivery
- Assist with maintaining the digital asset library for social content
- Support documentation of social media processes, templates, and best practices
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in social media coordination, content marketing, or digital communications
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams
- Working knowledge of social media platforms and content workflows
- Experience creating or adapting digital assets using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools is considered an asset
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field is preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
