The opportunity:

Dre. Renelle Gautreau, located in Dieppe, NB, is looking for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team on a 13-month contract. As a vital member of the team, the Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering quality nursing care to patients. Key Responsibilities, as required/applicable:

  • Coordinate patient care by assessing, planning, evaluating and discussing/reviewing with the physician.
  • The RN will be responsible for immunizations, well baby care, pap tests, and will evaluate patients with a variety of health issues.
  • Maintain patient files, encounter information, clinical data, and other information in a careful and confidential manner via EMR Software.
  • Answer inquiries in a helpful, respectful and efficient manner.
  • Review and process faxes electronically, including patient referrals.
  • Educate, advise, and empower patients on preventive healthcare and disease prevention.
  • Liaise between clinic, hospital, specialists, home care and community agencies to ensure integrated, continuous care.
  • Stay up to date with medical advancements to provide high-quality care.
  • Perform all other related clinical, administrative or special tasks as needed.

Experience & Education Required:

  • The applicant must have successfully completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • The applicant must be currently registered and in good standing with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB).
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in primary care or community health is considered an asset.
  • Basic CPR certification.
  • Advanced health assessment and clinical skills combined with sound judgement relevant to dealing with a wide variety of ages and health concerns.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in current, evidence-based methods and practices for primary care delivery, with an emphasis on health promotion, risk reduction and chronic disease management.
  • General knowledge of the New Brunswick medical system is an asset.

  • Proficiency with computers, including the use of the internet, electronic medical record system, and other relevant software.

  • Exhibit compassion and patience.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Due to daily operational needs, proficiency in English and French are required.

Working Conditions & Location:

  • The Registered Nurse position requires availability to work on-site from Monday to Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm. This schedule excludes evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to primarily work on-site. Occasional remote work may be available based on staffing and operational needs. Candidates must be able to work on-site full-time as required.
  • The clinical team includes one (1) physician, two (2) registered nurses along with their administrative staff.
  • The clinic is located at 600 Dieppe Blvd, Dieppe, NB.
